Fishing – Sea fishing trips are available at Gairloch Harbour. Sea fishing from the shore is possible all around the coast (Ask locally for information on possible safe sites)
There are slipways at Melvaig, Gairloch, and Inverasdale for launching small boats. There are many hill lochs in the area with good trout fishing and some river fishing. Permits are available from Cornerstone and Farm and Garden.
Marine Wildlife cruises operate out of Gairloch Harbour and from Badachro
Beaches The beautiful sandy beach at Gairloch is accessed from the car park at the Golf Course. There are several other beaches worth visiting at Red Point, Melon Udrigle and Gruinard.
Walking There are many fine walks for all ages from short gentle strolls to more challenging mountain climbs on the many Munros in the area. See Walk Highland website and books/ leaflets in cottage.

Gardens The world famous Inverewe Gardens in Poolewe are only 15 miles from Aultgrishan and are well worth a visit. It is home to hundreds of exotic plants from around the world.
